When materials arrive at Safe Sound Archive, whether for long-term storage, or for reformatting, great care is taken to track each item.
First each item is checked against your packing list. If a list hasn't been included, we will draft one. A confirmation is sent (via fax or e-mail) and any discrepancies are resolved immediately.
If your assets are with us for reformatting (and conservation, preservation, and/or restoration), we will design a database which integrates all aspects of your project's needs. These include shipping records, detailed documentation of all work done on each item, even printing. By integrating labelling and printing into the database, we assure every item will be uniform in its presentation, conforming to the individual needs of each project, and greatly simplifying cataloging!
And as we complete the project, we prepare packing lists for your check-in, and ship according to your instructions.
